CLIL: Content and Language Integrated ������Ƶing ­ (A Language and Culture course for Teachers ,Dublin) 

COURSE SUMMARY

My two weeks long CLIL (Content and Language Integrated ������Ƶing) course in Dublin with English Matters was an enriching experience. This well-structured course offered effective training including practical strategies, techniques and theoretical background aswell for integrating content and language learning in the school environment. All the tutors were well experienced and they supported a collaborative atmosphere amongst participants from different educational backgrounds and different countries all the time. Our group consisted of six participants which allowed us to be more active and to know the CLIL methodology more effective.                                                                                   Beyond the classroom, the location in Dublin offered opportunities to immerse myself in the city's culture, history and Irish traditions. Taking a weekend trip to Northern Ireland with friends was a fantastic idea to explore more of the island. Also thanks to these experiences this summer stay was more enjoyable and memorable. I finished the course feeling inspired and equipped with new techniques and methods to implement in my own teaching practice.

ZHRNUTIE KURZU

Môj dvojtýždenný kurz CLIL (Obsahovo a jazykovo integrované vyučovanie) v Dubline s English Matters bol veľmi obohacujúcou skúsenosťou. Kurz mi umožnil efektívne vzdelávanie, ktoré obsahovalo praktické stratégie, techniky a tiež teóriu ako implementovať CLIL metodológiu do školského prostredia. Lektori boli veľmi skúsení a neustále podporovali atmosféru spolupráce medzi účastníkmi, ktorí boli z rôznych vzdelávacích oblastí a rôznych krajín. Naša skupina mala len šesť účastníkov, čo nám umožnilo byť aktívnejšími a  spoznávať CLIL metodológiu efektívnejšie.                                                           Lokalita Dublinu okrem vzdelávania ponúka aj možnosti spoznávať kultúru, históriu mesta a írske tradície. Výlet do Severného Írska počas víkendu s priateľmi bol výborný nápad ako viac spoznať tento ostrov. Aj vďaka týmto zážitkom bol tento letný pobyt zábavnejší a plný spomienok. Kurz som ukončila s pocitom inšpirácie a spoznaním nových techník a metód, ktoré môžem zavádzať do mojej vlastnej pedagogickej praxe.
