About project
The „eTwinning“ project „The Art & Science of Light“ will encourage project partners for discussions and activities that will help better understand light's impact on the Earth's life.
Children and teachers will explore artificial and natural light:
will become familiar with natural light sources;
will discover a variety of activities linked to natural light and artificial light objects such as robots, digital microscopes, etc.;
will find out the effect of light on human well-being;
will form the habit of saving electricity.
Students will create artistic, creative works related to light.
The project will be educational, engaging and fun for preschool and elementary students!
Project Aims
1. To get to know natural and artificial light sources.
2. To discover a variety of creative, cognitive activities using artificial light sources and working in natural light.
3. To study shadows, lines of light scattering, light penetration, and light reflections.
4. Make safety signs - reflectors and talk about their importance for people's safety.
5. To experience the effect of light on relaxation and human well-being.
6. To form the habit of saving electricity.
Expected results
- Internation exibition "Light and art"
- Lit up geometric form installation;
- Produced wearable reflectors for pedestrian safety;
- E-book "Light for Human Well-Being";
- Dictionary for the word "Light" in English and partner country languages;
- Discovery of educational activities using artificial and natural light sources;
- Pupils' enriched knowledge about natual and artificial light sources, light diffraction & penetration, shadows;
- Habit for reduced energy consumption.
