Copyright

Copyright is a legal right that protects original works of authorship (text, images, music, videos, etc.) from being used without permission.

Copyright is a key aspect of our eTwinning project, guiding how we create, share, and present content.

Copyright is very important in our Twinning Project beacause it:

  • Ensures respect for others' intellectual property.
  • Teaches digital citizenship and ethical online behavior.
  • Helps avoid legal issues related to unauthorized use of media.

From the beginning, all students and teachers involved are encouraged to respect intellectual property and understand the value of original work.

Throughout the project:

  • All participants (students and teachers) will use, share, and remix content responsibly, ensuring proper attribution whenever required.
  • Proper attribution is required and practiced consistently, giving credit to original creators whenever we use someone else’s content.
  • We prioritise original creations (photos, texts, videos, and artwork made by students) to foster creativity and ownership.
  • We use only copyright-free or appropriately licensed materials, such as images, videos, and music under Creative Commons licenses or public domain.
  • All participants are taught how to search for resources that are free to use and share (using platforms like Pixabay, Unsplash, Wikimedia Commons, and Creative Commons Search when necessary).
  • Students learn to create their own original content, understanding that their creations are also protected by copyright and deserve recognition.

This approach ensures that our collaboration is not only creative and educational but also ethical and respectful of creators’ rights. By promoting copyright awareness, we help build digital citizenship skills that students can carry beyond this project.
