Whole School Approach in the Integration Process of Immigrants - Mültecilerin Uyum Sürecinde Tüm Okul Yaklaşımı

Our school is located in a neighborhood where families with low socio-economic status reside. The number of the students who have completed primary school education in the combined classes and who belong to broken families are also very much present. In addition, that the rents we have in the surrounding area are cheaper, has made our region chosen primarily by refugee-based families. Each year, the number of the refugee students enrolling in our school is increasing. We have difficulty in adapting these students to our school and the community they will live in. Because of all these conditions, most of our students are lacking motivation to lectures and the school. Within this etwinning project, we plan to share what are we doing to integrate our refugees in our school. We have been looking for European schools to carry out our etwinning project and we aim to have quality label for this project as well.

Within the scope of the Erasmus+  Project "Whole School Approach in the Integration Process of Refugees";, we had a mobility to Rome, Italy between 05-05-2019 / 11-05-2019. During our project mobility, together with the teachers involved in the project, we took a course including the Italian education system and the integration processes of refugees living in Italy.

Memory and Future. European Day of Memory and Welcome is a day for ensuring migration policies keep humanity and solidarity at their core while promoting responsibility sharing across Europe.

The 3rd October is a symbolic date, reminiscent of the day when, in 2013, 368 people including children, women and men lost their lives in a shipwreck off the coast of Lampedusa. 

The powerpoint is in Italian, but in a few days we'll translate it also in French, Romanian and English.
