Our project will take place with the participation of children between the ages of 7-12. It will start at the end of November and will be completed at the end of May. First of all, we aim to internalise the concept of citizenship with the work to be done in the workshops to be created and to reach the knowledge of world citizenship through this concept. We want them to learn about the EU and in this context, we want to create awareness of active, democratic citizenship that adopts universal values. We aim to raise awareness of the rights and problems that each participating country has in their own countries and to seek solutions to local and global problems together from a critical perspective. We will do activities to raise awareness of problems such as peer bullying, cyber bullying, environmental problems, wars, inequality. We aim to develop their problem solving skills by working in cooperation, to recognise and empathise with different cultures on an international platform, and at the same time, to make them aware that the concept of citizenship is not limited to their own country and that their duties and responsibilities are also valid for other countries, and to internalise the awareness that the world is the common country of all of us and that we can solve these problems together with active citizenship. For this purpose, by realising the power within themselves, each of them should design costumes according to the characteristics of the hero of their dreams and discover the useful aspects of technology by actively using web 2.0 tools.
