*Green Skills for a Better Environment* course is designed to help teachers foster environmental awareness and sustainability in their classrooms. The course focuses on equipping educators with practical tools and strategies to integrate green skills into their teaching practices, such as energy conservation, waste management, and sustainable living. Through hands-on activities, case studies, and collaborative discussions, participants will explore innovative approaches to inspire eco-conscious behaviors in students. The course also highlights the importance of critical thinking, problem-solving, and community engagement in addressing environmental challenges. By the end of the course, teachers will be empowered to create impactful lessons that promote environmental responsibility and prepare students to contribute to a sustainable future.

By the end of the Green Skills for a Better Environment course, participants will be able to:

Methodology & assessment
This course uses an interactive and hands-on teaching approach. Participants will engage in workshops, group discussions, case studies, and practical activities, such as creating lesson plans and projects on sustainability. Visual aids like videos, charts, and models of eco-friendly solutions (e.g., recycling systems, renewable energy) will be used to support learning. Peer collaboration and brainstorming sessions will help explore innovative ways to teach green skills.
Assessment will be formative, focusing on participation in group activities, the development of sustainability-focused lesson plans, and reflections on how green skills can be applied in classrooms. Participants will also complete a final project, such as designing an eco-friendly school initiative or a teaching module, which will be shared and reviewed by peers and the facilitator to ensure practical application.
Materials, digital tools & other learning resources
Participants will receive handouts, eco-activity guides, and lesson plan templates focused on sustainability. Digital tools such as Google Workspace, interactive platforms like Kahoot and Padlet, and video resources on environmental practices will be used. Additional resources include case studies, articles, and access to educational websites on renewable energy, waste management, and conservation to support teaching and application.
