The “Digital Tools for Students with Special Needs” course is a training program that aims to provide teachers with the ability to create educational materials suitable for their students’ specific needs using digital tools. This course enables students to learn how to use digital tools in accordance with their different learning styles and specific needs.

Description

This course covers a range of topics that include technological talk to meet certain temperatures in the learning process. These include compatible online tools and apps with specific results, digital tools such as audiobooks, specialized apps and games. It attracts the attention of these components, increases their motivation and reduces the learning process.

 

This course provides practical information for educators to learn how they can support using digital tools that provide tailored solutions. Course partners gain the ability to understand the different learning styles and specific needs of their country and to select and use appropriate digital tools. Additionally, people use digital materials that suit children's interests and benefits.

 

This course attempts to provide digital tools that are special cases of events needed to teach effectively. Course relations specialize in creating training formations related to specific countries and learning suitable digital countries to expand the learning process.

  • To provide teachers with the ability to select appropriate digital tools for students with special needs. 
  • To provide teachers with the opportunity to experience how they can customize selected digital tools to the specific needs of their students. 
  • To provide teachers with the skills to use selected digital tools effectively with their students. 
  • Improving teachers' skills in applying digital tools to their students' specific needs. .

Methodology & assessment

Methodology:
Needs analysis:
A needs assessment will be conducted to understand the specific challenges and needs of students with special needs.
Experiential learning:
Hands-on, experiential learning activities will be featured to help participants engage with and understand a variety of digital tools.
Collaborative Ƶing:
Collaboration will be carried out among participants through group projects and discussions.
Applied Workshops:
Practical workshops will be organized on the use of specific digital tools related to different types of disabilities.
Guest Speakers and Experts:
1 expert in the field of special needs education and assistive technology will be invited.
Reflection and Feedback:
A session will be held where participants can discuss what they have learned and the challenges they have encountered.


Evaluation:
Formative assessment:
Formative assessments will be used throughout the course to measure understanding and promptly resolve misunderstandings.
Project Based Evaluation:
Participants will prepare a final project assignment that requires them to design an inclusive digital learning environment or develop a resource using the tools covered in the course.
Practical Skills Assessment:
Participants' practical skills in using digital tools will be assessed through hands-on assessments or demonstrations.
Case Study Analysis:
Provide case studies of real-world scenarios in special needs training, and participants will be assessed on their ability to apply digital tools in these contexts.
Reflective Journals:
Participants will be required to keep reflective journals throughout the course, documenting their learning journey and the insights they gain.
Final exam:
There will be a comprehensive final exam covering theoretical concepts, practical applications and critical analysis of digital tools for special needs education.

Certification details

A course participation certificate and Europass mobility certificate will be issued.

 

 

*The course location will be in Van, an authentic and historical city in the easternmost part of Turkey. Van is a city with natural beauties and a very different cultural structure. We invite all instructors to a course to see this city and have an unforgettable experience.
