Perspectives in Practice: A European Dialogue for Future Teachers on Policy and Practice

This short project (1–8 weeks, running until the end of May 2025) provides future educators with a forum to explore and discuss policy areas relevant to their teaching practice. By engaging in meaningful dialogue, participants will gain insights into how educational policies function in real-world settings while learning about diverse school contexts across different countries. This collaborative exchange fosters a deeper understanding of policy implementation, challenges, and best practices, equipping future teachers with valuable perspectives to inform their own professional development. Participants may engage in critical discussions on policy frameworks such as the OECD’s (2020) implementation strategies for change in schools and national policies impacting their own practice, fostering a deeper understanding of educational policy and its impact on practice. Suggested resource: OECD (2020), “An implementation framework for effective change in schools”, OECD Education Policy Perspectives, No. 9, OECD Publishing, Paris, https://doi.org/10.1787/4fd4113f-en.
