NATURE AND ENVIRONMENT HAIKUS

NATURE AND ENVIRONMENT
NATURE AND ENVIRONMENT
The high school students have made Haikus related to nature and their environment with great skill and originality.
It is known as haiku to a type of poetry originating in Japan, which consists of a short text, composed of three verses of five, seven and five syllables respectively, although the metric is not always so fixed. Its original essence involved the union of two poetic ideas or images and their "cut" or separation by a final one. Haiku have no rhyme of any kind.
It is also common to refer to the poet's admiration or fascination with the contemplation of nature, especially if it has to do with time and the passing of the seasons. It is also common for him to refer to the everyday life of the people.
His style is usually simple, natural, subtle and austere, offering the poet's view from the details and the sensitive, as far away as possible from abstract concepts.

CZECH REPUBLIC DOTORS VISIT

Last Friday, we welcomed 30 directors of medical centers from the Czech Republic to our school, Ave María Varadero, Motril, Spain. It was a joyful gathering where they enjoyed a flamenco dance performance, joined in, and answered interesting questions about health and wellness, such as which foods cause allergies, how many hours should be spent on mobile phones, how many hours of physical exercise are necessary per day, which foods are the healthiest, and how much milk should be consumed daily. The directors kindly responded to our questions and visited all areas of the center. They are prominent members of the Association of Medical School Directors in the Czech Republic and plan to explore Andalusia throughout the month of April.

PYRAMID FOOD PRESENTATIONS

Today I want to share with you something very exciting that happened at our school, Ave María Varadero, Motril, Spain. The amazing students from 9th grade, Lina, Cristina, Mohammed, and Ezekiel, have given some truly inspiring presentations about food pyramids.
And you know what? They were absolutely amazing! The students who attended their presentations were simply amazed by all the interesting things they were told about the importance of healthy eating from a young age.
But that's not all! They also prepared some food pyramid models that were absolutely beautiful! We were all delighted with their creativity and dedication.
It's incredible to see how our young people are so committed to their health and well-being, and how they are willing to share that knowledge with others.
Let's continue to inspire each other to lead healthier and happier lives!
