C1 LTT NORTH MACEDONIA
RSRC”D-r Zlatan Sremec”-Skopje hosted the first mobility of the project Art/reatment with smiling receipt in the period of 01-05.11. 2021 in Skopje,N.Macedonia. The representatives from partner schools from Greece, Romania, Turkey and Poland, had the opportunity to exchange examples of good practice among the partner schools, gaining information about the educational systems, school organizations in these countries. One of the main goals of the project focuses on the use of art and sports in the process of student education and aims to compare the different practices of art therapy and to increase the quality by creating added value with the exchange of good practices with partner schools. This will contribute for better integrate the artistic activities and school activities that make disadvantaged children smile with our partners and improve the intercultural competences of teachers and students.
The first day of the mobility started with the welcome ceremony in the school. After the tour trough the school, visiting the classrooms, meeting the students with disabilities and special education teachers, the activities continued in the teachers office. Every partner
school had opportunity to present their school and their country ,the educational system regarding children with disabilities. We discussed about the project goals, the use of art and sports and the impact on disadvantage children and developing their social and communication skills and many more.
After that we had outdoor activities Disability Simulation,workshop Shifting Shoes.The participants experienced the empathy toward the disability ,pretending to be person with disability that had to do an assignment. After the evaluation and reflection of the day ,we continued with lunch and Skopje city tour ( workshop ,the groups were given direction of the monuments– Old Bazar, Stone Bridge, Mother Teresa Memorial house ,and they had to find them and take a photography in font of the monument) .
During the second day of our mobility we has cultural trip to the city of Ohrid. We visited the center of the city with its beauty,history monuments of art and culture, Kaneo, Samoil fortress and we exchange good practice during our walk by the lake coastline. We also visited St.Naum Monastery, Bay of Bones.On our way to Skopje we visited Vevchani springs.
The third day we visited the Museum of N. Macedonia. After the tour trough the museum, the participants actively participated in ceramic modeling workshop. Every participant had opportunity to make by them self an object using clay with the guidance of the museum representative to create their own ceramic pot.
By visiting the museum of N. Macedonia the participants had opportunity to get to know how the life was here in Macedonia from ancient period until nowadays and what kind of objects and arts they used and created. Sharing best practice of inclusive teachers-
Then we walked trough the Old Bazar admiring the narrow streets and handcrafts and the handmade product they made.
We continued to visit tthe State secondary school of music and ballet.The school principal and the students welcomed us by performance that was given by student with disabilities that are included in the secondary school. The teachers gave their testimonials about the inclusion of the children with disabilities in the school. The participants, together with the other student sang and dance traditional national songs. After that we all danced in the rhythm of the national notes.
The fourth day at PSRC” D-r Zlatan Sremec”-Skopje, we discussed about the impact of art therapy on children’s development and all the representatives from partner schools shared their best practices. We continued with Montessori art workshop, held by special educator from PSRC” D-r Zlatan Sremec”-Skopje who is trained Montessori pedagogue. The participants were divided in groups and with the guidance of the teacher had to discover famous paintings from famous artists and to create them, while listening relaxing music in the same time.
The fifth day, according to the agenda, we visited School for children with visual impairment Dimitar Vlahov-Skopje. There we had opportunity to visit the classes, meet the children and talk to the teachers to hear and learn more about the benefits of music education for children with special needs. We had a concert held by a students with visual impairment.
The partners also shared their best practice and the positive influence of music education for children with disabilities.
