STEMbot

STEMBOT project aims to offer an inclusive and innovative way of teaching and learning, suitable for global challenges in today's world and to help avoiding the drop of interest for STEM subjects among students between 12 and 16. The goal is to bring mathematics and science to life, show girls and boys how STEM knowledge is applicable outside of the classroom and give them the practical experiences they crave for using an innovative approach. Тhrough a chat bot, which is a computer program that uses artificial intelligence (AI) and can conduct conversations, students will get access to videos of practical experiments and thus see how science works in the real world, instead of only on paper. The first project result is an introductory guide “STEM: from interest to integration" – aiming to highlight the importance of practical experiences in STEM education to spark the interest of all students. The aim of this guide is to increase the understanding of the importance of practical experiences in STEM and to give leads to educators on how to foster students’ interest in STEM subjects at a crucial age, where they usually become more disengaged. The guide will be soon available in 6 EU languages on the project’s website: https://www.stembot.eu/.
