My Game Workshop

Play is a part of real life and the most effective learning process for the child, which may or may not be for a specific purpose, with or without rules, but which is the basis of physical, cognitive, linguistic, emotional and social development in which the child participates willingly and enjoyably. Children gain different perspectives by trying alternative solutions in their games, discover their own potential powers, and use these experiences in adulthood. We want to address the social dimension of the game, the development in interpersonal relationships, and the cognitive dimension, the development in contact with objects and use of objects. We want our children to be able to express their sadness, anxiety, and fears that they cannot express verbally through play, and to help them relax by expressing their distress through play. Thus, we know that play has a therapeutic role and that play is an effective method in protecting mental health as well as in education. In the game, the individual learns to obey the rules, share, tolerate, find solutions to problems, think in a certain discipline, social roles, research, compromise, take responsibility, express himself, make decisions and bear the consequences. Play is one of the most important ways to get to know a child. Because the child is free in the game, he is away from any kind of pretense, and he easily reflects his inner feelings and thoughts into his play. Therefore, we aim to get to know our students better by carefully observing the child's mental state, what kind of reactions he has to events, and his behavior in the game.
