Hi, Dear Friends!
Welcome to my profile. I am an English Language Teacher in a state school. I also assist the district directorate of national education with the projects in Karpuzlu, Aydın. I work in the west part of Turkey. Karpuzlu is a municipality and district of Aydın province. The town is partially situated on the slopes of a hill on the top of which can be seen the well-preserved ruins of the ancient acropolis of Alinda. My hometown is Muğla. I studied English Language Teaching and gratuated from Muğla University. After graduation, I went to Italy as a Comenius Assisstant for 7 - 8 months. It was a great experience for me to explore the new cultures and had a chance to work with Italian Teachers. I also had an opportunity to present my beautiful country Turkey and built a bridge between Turkey and Italy. I travelled to other Europen countries during my stay and this experinces contributed a lot to my language teaching. I love teaching. I am very willing to learn new cultures and meet with new people. My students are also very eager to learn new countries, their cultures and meet with new friends. We are all here to create or attend projects so that we can have new experiences. Our students live in a rural area and as you know, that is always seen as a disadvantage. If we want, I believe, we can change this and provide some possibilities to our students. I do believe in our students. These eTwining projects will change this bad thoughts and help them to use and share what they have already known, and broaden their minds and motivate them for future. Working with the others and solve the problems collaboratively allows students to learn from each other. It enables to raise the achievement of all students, including those who are gifted or academically handicapped. Also this cooperation creates a positive relationship among the students. Let's motivate them by involving into these projects. We are looking forward to hearing from you and let's start!
