STRATEGIC ACTIONS FOR EARLY-SCHOOL-LEAVING REDUCTION(SAFER)

The ERASMUS PROJECT STRATEGIC ACTIONS FOR EARLY-SCHOOL-LEAVING REDUCTION(SAFER) is a KA2 small scale partnership. Reference number 2023-1-MT01-KA210-SCH-000157228 The main objective of this project is to identify the causes of Early School Leaving and try to reduce the number of students that leave school at an early age by motivating them to stay longer. This partnership is composed of 4 schools from 4 different countries. Malta as the coordinator while Italy, Romania and Northern Macedonia are partners. The main objectives of the project are:  To increase the awareness of the weak points in the schools of the partnership  To monitor early school leaving among students with a low socio-cultural background in area at risk of abandonment  to share initiatives and strategies to tackle dropout and early school leaving among the students, adopting a new educational approach which can encourage our students to become responsible, active open-minded members of society, capable of delivering their potentiality  To boost wellbeing and motivation among the students who are at risk of dropout  To share opinions and experiences among teachers and promote common actions to prevent early school leaving  To foster no formal didactic actions and an inclusive education to motivate the students  To increase the sense of belongness and active citizenship among teachers and students  To involve local communities, parents, local agency in the learning- teaching process. A proactive and motivating approach will be chosen by the partners ‘schools with the use of digitalization and gamification, practical activities, the use of didactic apps and tools in daily practice, having in mind the centrality of the students in the learning process, in order to find solutions to reduce early leaving and promote mental and environmental wellbeing. This implies training the teachers on new and innovative methods of teaching and making the students aware that by learning they can get better and satisfying jobs.
