We would like to tackle misconceptions/prejudices about other people/cultures. The target group consists of 2nd year students of 13/14 years old. Our project proposal is relevant because it tackles inclusion and (European) citizenship. Schools in the Netherlands need to teach citizenship (Dutch ministry of education) because it is a national and international need. In France schools have the mission to embody, bring to life, and transmit to students the principles and values of the Republic. The Dutch and French school think that this project will help us in achieving this goal to put this into practice. We want to make our students more confident, imaginative, autonomous as teenagers and to make them aware that the European community has an impact on every country (they will grow up as an adult in a European country) Develop cooperative ways to learn, to work together as European citizens and discover their European identity by visiting each other, working together which is essential to raise an intercultural understanding.
