We are setting up this project to celebrate European Language Day (26th September) in our schools. We would like to increase our students’ awareness about their own language as well as introduce them with Europe’s linguistic diversity. We have intended to find one school from every European country to represent it. In this project we are going to introduce ourselves to other partners and tell about our schools and languages. Then we will translate the same sentence in all our languages and students will be able to discover similarities and differences of different languages. We are going to make expositions in our schools and we hope that further the names of the countries will not be for our students only geographical terms but they will see the faces of young people throughout Europe. Our aim is to develop students' knowledge of different languages as well as their tolerance and intercultural communicative competence. To achieve these goals, we will use ICT tools, collaborative work.
