We live on a blue planet. Our planet has an ocean, without it, life as we know it could not exist. Despite sharing a vast coastline and maritime history, many European citizens see the ocean's importance and opportunities; It is unaware of how it regulates the climate, how it produces the oxygen we breathe, and how it supports the food we eat and human life and well-being.A paradigm shift is needed to reorient society. Blue Economy and a healthy ocean for all of us.Education is an important element in valuing the riches of the ocean and sustaining life. Our schools are also committed to promoting ocean literacy.Through our project, we are invited to join our students in the effort to promote ocean literacy by taking the ocean to their classes and helping everyone worry wherever they are.European Blue Schools brings the ocean to the classroom. In the journey to become a European Blue School, teachers and students will develop their understanding of the ocean.
