Hristo Yassenov Secondary School is a municipal school located in the town of Etropole, Sofia region. We teach students aged 7 to 19 with diverse ethnic, social and religious backgrounds. The school also operates a dormitory which accommodates students from all over the country who train football in the Football Academy "Hristo Stoichkov”. Our institution also teaches students from schools in the region which have been closed as a result of demographic and migration processes in the municipality. All these circumstances require a flexible approach to the teaching and learning process. We aim at making use of non-formal teaching approaches and extracurricular activities so that we support all students to participate actively in the educational process and create and teach them to be responsible and tolerant members of the community.
