Would you like to teach about the EU and how its 27 member states work together, but lack the time to research and organise your lessons?

The Council's  includes 7 ready-made teaching lessons designed to help teachers, university lecturers and other education professionals explain the work of the Council of the EU and the work of the European Council.

Each lesson contains the teacher's manuals with the organisation of time and a step-by-step description of the activities, and all the materials to be used in class, including PowerPoint presentations, videos, and links to supporting documents. The lessons are not suitable for individual use, but as a group activity.

The lessons are divided by:

  • age group: students and learners aged 9-12, 12-19, 17-25 and 60+
  • teaching method: for students between 12 and 25 year old, choose between the lessons for theoretical learners and those for practical learners, based on what would work best for your students, or combine both approaches in class.
