Description

This session is organised as part of the Citizenship education: celebrating what unites us and eTwinning newcomers featured groups spotlight month.

The webinar is divided in two parts. In the first part, participants will exchange views and learn about citizenship in a gamified way while exploring materials published at the EU learning corner. In the second part, participants will learn how to create an eTwinning project based on the EU values and on what was discussed in the first part.

About the speakers

Theodora Gkeniou

Moderator of the featured group ‘Citizenship education: celebrating what unites us

 

Dora Gkeniou is  an English language teacher, an IT teacher trainer, and a European project manager. She works in the fields of CLIL, language teaching and learning, educational technology, digital cultural heritage, and materials production, while providing pedagogical support to educators as a group moderator for citizenship education. She is a team player, taking initiatives when needed, and she is keen on communicating and collaborating  online and onsite with colleagues and students. She holds a M.A. in Linguistics and a M.Ed.

Nickie Liaropoulou

Nickie Liaropoulou has been an EFL teacher for over 20 years and holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree. She is currently the deputy head teacher at an upper – secondary school in Athens, Greece. She has been an eTwinning & eTwinning ITE Ambassador for Greece since 2023. Together with Georgia Maneta, she is moderating the eTwinning newcomers featured eTwinning group on ESEP.

Georgia Maneta has been an EFL Educator for over 20 years. She holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Literature in English and she is currently finishing her MSc in Immersive Technologies in Education. She has been an eTwinning Ambassador and an eTwinning ITE Ambassador for Greece since 2020. Together with Nickie Liaropoulou, she is moderating the eTwinning newcomers featured eTwinning group on ESEP.
