The purpose of this Erasmus+ KA1 training course is to present ways and tools how to overcome the passive approaches of the past and to apply the 21st century approaches of active learning methods.

Programme of training activities day-by-day:
MONDAY (Day 1):
Welcome and registration; Ice-breaking and Warmups. Team-building session
Introduction to Effective Classroom Management in 21st century Classroom: How to Set Up a Simple, Effective Classroom Management Plan: Using Digital Tools for Effective Classroom Management: ClassDojo; Mentimeter; Moodle; Characteristics of Effective 21st century Teaching and Teachers; Definition and Benefits and Key Components of Active Ƶing Strategies in the classroom
TUESDAY (Day 2):
Workshop: Active Ƶing Techniques and Methods for the Classroom PART ONE: Think-Pair-Share; Three-step interviews; One Minute Paper or Muddiest Point Paper; Peer Instruction; Cooperative/Collaborative Ƶing Techniques; Brainstorming Sessions
WEDNESDAY (Day 3): Outdoor activity with a training task: “Treasure Hunt” – In the shoes of our learners: Field Trips and Site Visits - connect learning to real-world situations.
THURSDAY (Day 4):
Workshop: Workshop: Active Ƶing Techniques and Methods for the Classroom PART TWO: Role Play; Game-based learning; The Jigsaw Method; Just in time teaching; Posters & gallery walk. Classroom Assessment Techniques (CATs)-useful feedback on the teaching-learning process: Measuring the Impact of Active Ƶing Strategies
FRIDAY (Day 5):
Flipped Classroom
Debates and Discussions: How Active Ƶing Methods can foster critical thinking and the ability to articulate and defend viewpoints.
Interactive Quizzes and Polls; Experiential Ƶing

SATURDAY (Day 6):
Ƶing Circles and Communities
SUNDAY (Day 7):
Feedback, course evaluation and dissemination focus; Delivery of Certificates of Attendance
IMPORTANT: PARTICIPANTS COULD ATTEND 5, 6, 7 OR MORE DAYS IN ACCORDANCE TO THEIR APPLICATION. COURSE FEE INCLUDES TRAINING, COURSE DOCUMENTS (TEMPLATES WILL BE SENT TO PARTICIPATING TEACHERS), COFFEE BREAKS, STATIONARY, SIGHTSEEING, SCHOOL VISIT AT MOST LOCATIONS WHERE THE COURSE WILL BE HELD.
Ƶing objectives
Apply new knowledge to help students encode information, concepts, and skills in their memories; Create personal connections with the material, which increases students’ motivation to learn; Increase student engagement and motivation in the classroom; Establish a sense of community in the classroom; Create lifelong learners; Promote the idea that learning is not only about the content but also about the process in which a student learns; Ƶ how to provide students with greater control over their learning and how to increase their involvement; Apply methods to encourage students to stay focused on their learning, to improve a student’s enthusiasm to get involved with active learning; Make a topic more intellectually exciting to give students the opportunity to get truly excited about the subject; Ƶ how to allow students to participate at a higher level of academic discussion through offering them a better opportunity for deeper analysis, critical thinking and evaluation of a topic; Provide more rounded educational learning environment; Teach blending skills that will be useful for students later in life, in the workplace; Improve collaboration and team-work in class; Apply self-directed learning approach; Develop ability to take accountability for own work; Gain practical knowledge for the ways to apply critical and creative thinking skills in order to come up with creative solutions to problems; Develop skills to put knowledge into action and to sharpen critical reasoning skills; Use a variety of teaching methods and modalities (verbal, interactive, etc.) that align with learning objectives; Apply effective classroom management strategies; Enhance critical thinking with Problem-Solving Teaching or Problem-based Ƶing Methods; Enhance collaborative and interpersonal skills; Ƶing to Ƶ and Ƶing by Teaching Competencies; Provide knowledge and skills with a positive attitude towards innovations, feel the necessity for self-education.
Methodology & assessment
Certification details
At the end of the course, each participant will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance along with Europass Mobility.
Our certificates are in line with the Erasmus Quality Standards and so include the course's title, short description of its learning outcomes (if requested), dates, venue, the name of the course provider and the course director, number of training hours.
We support participants in every step of certification and validation of learning outcomes focusing specifically on European instruments and Erasmus+ requirements such as Ƶing Agreement, Quality Commitment and Europass mobility.
