TEACHING IN A GLOBAL CULTURAL CLASS ENVIRONMENT. The Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) Approach
Teaching in a multicultural class is a challenge which started a long time ago and new generations (the Erasmus generation of former teachers) are facing a more facilitated approach but nowadays having different cultures in class is structural and part of the daily life of the whole society.
Description
This innovative training addresses the growing reality of multicultural classrooms shaped by migration and global change. Teachers face diverse students - from young children to adult learners - and new colleagues with varied cultural backgrounds. Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) helps educators develop attitudes and skills to better connect with and support students from diverse cultures, addressing educational gaps caused by cultural mismatches. The course explores practical tools, theories, and teaching strategies to manage multicultural classes effectively. Participants will share experiences, learn to create personalized paths, and integrate Non-Formal and Outdoor Education in global cultural contexts, empowering teachers to become skilled mediators in today’s globalized classrooms.
