Set on the stunning island of Tahiti, this KA1 Erasmus+ course offers educators a transformative experience combining professional development with cultural immersion. Participants will explore the principles of empathy, intercultural understanding, and mindful practices, with a focus on inclusive education. Through hands-on workshops and local exchanges, educators will gain tools for creating compassionate, inclusive classrooms that respect diversity and encourage teamwork.
This course addresses the integration of students from diverse backgrounds and those with special needs, highlighting soft skills development, empathy-building, and critical thinking to foster a collaborative and welcoming school environment. Ƶing objectives
- Enhance Understanding of Inclusion and Diversity
Equip participants with strategies to support the inclusion of students from diverse cultural backgrounds and those with special needs, fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. - Develop Empathy and Mindfulness Practices
Teach mindfulness and empathy techniques to promote a peaceful classroom atmosphere, reduce bullying, and encourage respectful communication among students. - Strengthen Critical Thinking and Open-Mindedness
Encourage critical thinking skills that help students understand different perspectives, make thoughtful decisions, and engage in constructive dialogue. - Promote Teamwork and Collaboration
Introduce activities and strategies to reinforce collaboration, creating stronger social bonds among students and promoting teamwork as a foundation for inclusion. - Integrate Cultural Diversity into the Classroom
Provide educators with tools to celebrate and incorporate cultural diversity into their teaching, promoting a deepe
Methodology & assessment
Continuous assessment - continuous observation of participant’s activity
Evaluation criteria:
Preparation, level of engagement in class, listening, questioning and discussing, problem-solving, group/partner teamwork
Evaluation procedures:
The evaluation will take place in the hosting organization and will be conducted
by teacher trainers at the end of the course.
Recognition conditions:
At least 80% course attendance
Materials, digital tools & other learning resources
Participants are not required to bring laptops or tablets. Mobile phones will be utilized for select activities throughout the course.
