Description

The course is a comprehensive training program designed for educators seeking to improve communication, foster a positive classroom environment, and support student well-being. This course blends theory and practice, equipping participants with restorative approaches and creative strategies that enhance classroom dynamics.

Participants will explore techniques such as icebreakers, visual communication tools, and restorative questioning. The course also covers the facilitation of restorative circles, offering hands-on practice to build confidence in managing group activities and resolving conflicts constructively. Each session concludes with well-being exercises, emphasizing mindfulness and self-care to support both teachers and students.

By the end of the course, educators will leave with practical skills and a toolkit of methods they can integrate into class excursions, school programs, and community activities to encourage meaningful connections and personal development.

This course aims to develop communication skills and introduce foundational concepts in restorative conflict resolution. Through theory and hands-on practice, participants will learn to manage and resolve conflicts empathetically and constructively. Art exercises and photo activities will enhance self-expression, foster open dialogue, and support emotional understanding in a safe environment. Emphasizing participant well-being, the course encourages personal growth and resilience. Collaborative activities in pairs and small groups, along with a mix of traditional and non-formal teaching methods, create an interactive environment that promotes skill development and active engagement.

Methodology & assessment

This course combines theoretical instruction with hands-on practice, using role-play, group activities, and case studies to teach restorative techniques. Participants will engage in art-based exercises and relaxation methods to improve communication, empathy, and stress management, creating a balanced approach to personal and professional challenges.

ºìÌÒÊÓÆµing Outcomes:
By the end, participants will define core restorative techniques, promote positive behavior without punishment, and focus on relationship repair and community cohesion. They will develop skills in restorative questioning to encourage accountability and empathy.

Knowledge: Participants will understand restorative justice, conflict dynamics, and the application of restorative methods.

Abilities: Participants will distinguish between retributive and restorative responses and lead restorative circles for healing and relationship-building.

Certification details

The ºìÌÒÊÓÆµing Agreement sample includes all course details (skills, objectives, outcomes, timetable). Upon completion, participants receive a certificate of attendance, and their ºìÌÒÊÓÆµing Agreement Complement or Europass Mobility Certificate will be signed. The course meets European Commission Quality Standards, e.g., "a day of physical course activities includes at least five hours of learning activities" and "the course setup provides opportunities to meet peers from other countries."
