Description

Inclusive Education through Digital Transformation is a 5-day Erasmus+ KA1 course designed to equip educators with the skills and knowledge to create inclusive, accessible, and equitable learning environments using digital tools. As schools adapt to digital change, it is vital to ensure that all learners—regardless of ability or background—benefit equally. This training explores the intersection of inclusivity and technology, offering hands-on experience, collaborative activities, and practical strategies to foster participation and engagement among diverse learners.

Daily Program:

  • Day 1: Introduction to inclusive education and key EU policies
  • Day 2: Understanding diverse learning needs and barriers to inclusion
  • Day 3: Digital tools for inclusive teaching (e.g., accessibility features, assistive tech)
  • Day 4: Designing inclusive digital lesson plans and classroom practices
  • Day 5: Action planning, reflection, and presentation of group projects

Ƶing objectives

By the end of the 5-day course "Inclusive Education through Digital Transformation," participants will be able to understand and apply the principles of inclusive education in the context of digital transformation. They will develop practical skills to identify and address barriers to learning, using digital tools to foster participation, equity, and accessibility in their classrooms. Educators will explore and evaluate a variety of digital resources, assistive technologies, and inclusive teaching strategies aimed at supporting diverse student needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN). Participants will also enhance their digital competence, collaborate with peers across Europe, and design inclusive digital lesson plans tailored to different learning profiles. The course will empower educators to become change agents in their schools, promoting inclusive values and digital innovation to ensure that no learner is left behind in the digital age.

Methodology & assessment

The course will employ a variety of learner-centered and participatory teaching methodologies, including interactive lectures, group discussions, hands-on digital tool workshops, case studies, peer learning, and collaborative project work. Emphasis will be placed on experiential learning, allowing participants to actively engage with digital tools and inclusive teaching strategies in simulated classroom scenarios. Real-life examples and challenges will be explored to foster critical thinking and practical application.
Assessment of participants’ learning will be continuous and formative. It includes active participation in sessions, completion of daily tasks, peer feedback, and the development of an inclusive digital lesson plan or activity. On the final day, participants will present their projects and action plans, demonstrating their understanding and application of the course content. All participants will receive a certificate of attendance and a Europass Mobility Documen.

Materials, digital tools & other learning resources

Participants will use a variety of digital tools and platforms, including Google Workspace, Padlet, Mentimeter, Canva, and accessibility tools such as screen readers and speech-to-text apps. Course materials will include interactive presentations, digital handouts, case studies, and video resources. All learning materials will be shared via a shared drive, ensuring ongoing access and collaboration during and after the course.
