  • practical workshops exploring a range of creative teaching ideas, techniques and activities to challenge and motivate learners of all abilities in an inclusive classroom and techniques for teaching a variety of special educational needs
  • lectures on Irish History, Culture & Traditions and the Irish Education System

Ƶing objectives

This course aims to provide educators with:

  • an insight into Inclusive Education in Ireland
  • strategies to encourage empathy, co-operation and cohesion in an inclusive classroom
  • a range of teaching ideas and activities for effective teaching in an inclusive classroom, considering the needs of: pupils of all abilities, pupils with special educational needs, migrants and refugees, pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds, pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs
  • strategies to prevent and deal with bullying
  • an opportunity to share experiences and exchange ideas on inclusive education with teachers from other European counties

Methodology & assessment

Courses are delivered by education professionals with many years’ experience of teaching and training EU-funded teachers and a wealth of exciting ideas to impart

Practical workshops are tailored to the participants’ training needs

Teachers will be encouraged to share their own ideas and experiences and to participate in and reflect on learning and tasks designed for primary school and secondary pupils

Feedback and guidance from trainers

At the end of the course teachers participate in a detailed evaluation of the course

Materials, digital tools & other learning resources

Participants will be provided with physical and digital materials.

Certification details

  • A certificate of attendance (stating course title, location, dates, content, learning outcomes and number of hours) will be provided as required by the Quality standards for courses under Key Action 1
  • Erasmus+ documentation will be validated
  • Teachers will be provided with advice on how to complete their Ƶing Agreements if requested

    • 1,447 Euro – Course with 7 nights full board host family accommodation (Single rooms. All meals provided)
    • 1,479 Euro - Course with 7 nights self-catering accommodation in central university residence (single ensuite rooms)

    Description of the services and activities included in the course package (such as accommodation, meals, transport) or available at extra cost.
  • Cancellation & changes:

    Full payment will be due 2 months before the course begins, or for teachers awaiting funding: as soon as the grant is received.

     

    100% refund for cancellations more than 5 weeks before arrival. No refund for cancellations within 5 weeks of arrival. Changes and substitution of teacher may be possible.

  • Additional information:
    The options and conditions for change and cancellation, and the policy in case of unforeseen circumstances (force majeure).
