EUROPEAN CULTURAL HERITAGE As A Pedagogical And Integration Tool in Education
Teaching Cultural Heritage is a very European tool because it aims at searching for our historical and cultural roots as Europeans. This is useful to develop European Citizenship competencies in students, to educate them to understand diversity and the importance of an intercultural approach to life.
Description
This training originated from a partnership with the Polish Kontakt School and focuses on using European Cultural Heritage as a tool in adult education and integration. It draws on UNESCO’s broad definition of cultural heritage, including tangible (monuments, artifacts), intangible (traditions, performing arts), and natural heritage. European policies emphasize preserving this rich mosaic as a shared legacy. Teaching Cultural Heritage fosters European citizenship by promoting diversity awareness and intercultural understanding.
