Objectives

The intention is to refresh the teaching skills of existing teachers of Spanish and/or to help in the re-training of teachers of other languages and other subjects. General Spanish: from A2 level: this course involves small group teaching, allowing concentrated, thorough study of Spanish, and develops all aspects of the language - listening, speaking, reading and writing. The course will develop the participants’ language skills to help increase their abilities to teach and communicate in Spanish. Dimelo: small group sessions (max. 6 per class) aim to provide extra development of oral communication skills. Teaching Methodology: these classes will be in closed groups from 1-10 participants and aim to refresh teaching techniques and/or provide training in teaching Spanish.

Outcomes Due to the intensity of this course and the experience of our trainers, motivated teachers can substantial reinforce and refresh their abilities to teach Spanish!

Methodology & assessment

Interested teachers are tested in advance to ensure they meet the A2 entry requirement.

General Spanish:
All areas of the Spanish language are covered at an advanced level. There are a maximum of 10 per class. We have developed an eclectic teaching philosophy combining many aspects of the communicative approach with structured learning of grammar and syntax. Aspects of Spanish culture are introduced as appropriate.

Dimelo: Minimum 6 per class allows for maximum participation. Specially created materials aim to develop oral skills in a structured manner.

Teaching Methodology:
The teaching will be done in closed groups from 1 to 10 participants. The content can be agreed in advance and can vary according to the participants’ experience and whether they are/want to be Primary or Secondary teachers. The programme will cover a range of techniques, activities and items all of which will be directly applicable in the classroom.
