Description
- This two-week course equips educators with innovative tools to transform teaching. The first week focuses on mastering classroom management through coordination, collaboration, and communication. Participants will learn strategies to foster teamwork, organize resources effectively, and create a positive, engaging learning environment.
- The second week delves into Humanistic Contextual Education (HEC), exploring how art and culture can inspire interdisciplinary learning and address social issues. Educators will design creative mental games to stimulate students’ imagination and emotional engagement while learning the photovoice method to empower students through photography and self-expression.
- Through hands-on workshops, reflective activities, and collaborative projects, participants will develop practical skills, receive ready-to-use teaching materials, and gain insights into integrating digital tools, art, and culture into their classrooms.

- Master foundational principles of classroom management, including coordination, collaboration, and empathetic communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Develop practical skills for organizing activities, managing time and resources, and fostering student engagement.
- Integrate art and culture into the curriculum using Humanistic Contextual Education (HEC) to teach across subjects and address contemporary social issues.
- Create and implement mental games that stimulate creativity, imagination, and emotional engagement in students.
- Apply the photovoice method to encourage student self-expression, reflection, and local participation through photography.
- Foster an inclusive, supportive educational community to share ideas and empower students.
- Utilize digital tools and multimedia resources to enhance interdisciplinary learning and address diverse student needs effectively.
Methodology & assessment
Methodology: Experiential learning with real-life scenarios, project-based assignments, and peer collaboration in creative and practical tasks.
Assessment: Participants' learning is evaluated through peer feedback, project presentations, reflective logs, and the creation of teaching materials (e.g., mental games and photovoice projects).

- Printed Materials: Handouts, worksheets, and templates for classroom management and HEC activities.
- Digital Tools: Padlet, Canva, Genially, and Google Workspace for collaborative projects and creating teaching resources.
- Art and Cultural Resources: Street art tours, multimedia content, and curated visual aids for photovoice and mental games.
- Classroom Packages: Ready-to-use lesson plans, worksheets, and guides for HEC, mental games, and photovoice projects.

Course package content:
The total cost of the seven-day course is €800 (€80 per day). This includes:

Cancellation & changes:
must be communicated via Mail (courses@spatiateacheracademy.eu).
Enrolled students who cannot take part in the course for any reasons can always be replaced by another participant from the same organization, free of charge.
If students cancel at least 3 months before the beginning of the course(s), SPATIA will refund the entire amount.
In case of force majeure the Foundation will offer the possibility to change dates and course free of charge.
