Effective Classroom Management
The course is intended to promote discussion on changes in the learning environment and to offer the possibility to find out ways of motivating the students.
It also promote teacher's well-being as an essential factor for an Effective Classroom Management.
Description
This course has been designed especially for primary, and secondary teachers of different subjects, but it could also be helpful for teachers from vocational schools, teacher trainers, and head teachers. The course aims at depicting significant challenges of classroom management nowadays and setting out practical ways of managing the classroom by presenting alternatives to traditional approaches.
Are today’s students different from previous generations? Are teaching and classroom management more difficult than a few decades ago? If yes, in what way and for what reason(s)? If not, why do so many teachers find managing the classroom harder than before and experience so much stress during the school year? Why do so many students dislike or even hate school? Why is it so hard to motivate and gain students’ attention for learning purposes? Are these only present-day problems, or did they exist even when our parents and grandparents were students?
We will try to answer these and many other impromptu questions which might occur during discussions about classroom management theories and strategies. In this course, participants will learn practical ways to handle changes in the school environment, create a positive classroom atmosphere, and increase student engagement and motivation. The course will also cover useful classroom management techniques for the digital age. Moreover, it will provide helpful tips on how teachers can reduce stress and take care of their well-being.
