The course is intended to be highly practical and provides a variety of activities, outdoor learning and digital apps which are designed to promote sustainability and climate action.
Description
Sustainable living has become a “must” for people of all ages; therefore, forming competences in environmental-relevant areas should start at an early age, first in the family, then in school institutions, and continue throughout the entire life. To form such an attitude, society needs informed teachers who can educate young people about responsible living.The course’s main objective is to create in-depth awareness about climate change and to share practical, easy-to-follow solutions. It is high time we educate our students for the future. We need to help them build skills and mindsets towards a sustainable future, with a critical engagement and focus on reducing their ecological footprint. The course activities are meant to strengthen and expand sustainability in education and encourage our students to become sustainability literate. To raise awareness on the environmental situation by means of scientific data
To equip teachers with activities on climate change and sustainability
To find practical solutions to fight climate change
To use outdoor learning to increase ecological awareness
To use digital apps for promoting sustainable living
Methodology & assessment
Classes will be taught in a very practical way based on the “learning by doing” principle which is expected to stimulate attendees to make use of the newly acquired information.
An evaluation questionnaire will be given to the participants to gather participants’ opinions about the training and its contents, logistic organisation, instructors, materials provided and asses to which extent the course managed to improve participants’ competences in the field of interactive and innovative teaching.

Certification details
At the end of the course, each participant will be awarded a certificate of attendance.This certificate will include the necessary details: a short description of the course, dates, the venue, the name of the course provider and information of the participant. For the Europass Mobility the participants should ask their national agency to issue it and we will help with completing it. Ƶing Agreement will be provided.
