Description

The course includes:

  • Lecture on the Irish Education System
  • Visit a school or college which offers vocational training with lecture on vocational training in Ireland
  • Visit a Youthreach Centre which provides education in an informal setting and preparation for the world of work for early school leavers
  • Workshops on Using Technology to Enhance ºìÌÒÊÓÆµing
  • Workshops on English for Vocational Purposes
  • English Language Training
  • Visit a hotel and restaurant with tour and talk on hotel management and the training of new employees

ºìÌÒÊÓÆµing objectives

This course aims to give participants the opportunity to:

  • Compare vocational training in Ireland with their own countries
  • Improve their command of English in their specialist fields
  • Gain new teaching skills and ideas
  • Exchange ideas and develop links with teachers from other European countries

Methodology & assessment

Courses are delivered by education professionals with many years’ experience of teaching and training EU-funded teachers

Practical workshops are tailored to the participants’ training needs

Collaborative working

Feedback and guidance from trainers

Reflection activities to encourage participants to think critically about their teaching practice

At the end of the course teachers participate in a detailed evaluation of the course

Materials, digital tools & other learning resources

Participants will be provided with physical and digital materials.

Certification details

  • A certificate of attendance (stating course title, location, dates, content, learning outcomes and number of hours) will be provided as required by the Quality standards for courses under Key Action 1
  • Erasmus+ documentation will be validated
  • Teachers will be provided with advice on how to complete their ºìÌÒÊÓÆµing Agreements if requested

    •    1,395 Euro – Course only
    •    2,195 Euro – Course with 13 nights full board host family accommodation (Single rooms. All meals provided)
    •    2,239 Euro - Course with 13 nights self-catering accommodation in central university residence (single ensuite rooms)

    Description of the services and activities included in the course package (such as accommodation, meals, transport) or available at extra cost.
  • Cancellation & changes:

    Full payment will be due 2 months before the course begins, or for teachers awaiting funding: as soon as the grant is received.

    100% refund for cancellations more than 5 weeks before arrival. No refund for cancellations within 5 weeks of arrival. Changes and substitution of teacher may be possible.

  • Additional information:
    The options and conditions for change and cancellation, and the policy in case of unforeseen circumstances (force majeure).
