Description

The course is designed to equip educators with the expertise to effectively integrate robotics into school curricula. It offers a hands-on approach to learning, providing participants with practical experience in designing, building, and programming robots suitable for diverse age groups. Through a series of interactive workshops, participants will learn key concepts of robotics, and explore how they can be seamlessly woven into subjects like mathematics, science, and computer programming. Pedagogical strategies for cultivating critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and teamwork will be emphasised. Educators will learn the tools to create dynamic learning experiences to nurture a new generation of tech-savvy, innovative thinkers by developing the skills of the 21st century (problem-solving, innovation, project management, programming, communication skills, cognitive skills related to analytic and synthetic thinking, creativity, critical thinking).

ºìÌÒÊÓƵing objectives

1. Comprehend the Educational Significance of Robotics: Understand the pedagogical benefits and cognitive impact of integrating robotics in education

2. Master LEGO Technology: Gain proficiency in assembling, programming, and operating robots using LEGO robotics kits

3. Apply Robotics in STEAM Education: Integrate robotics seamlessly into Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) subjects, fostering interdisciplinary learning

4. Facilitate Hands-On ºìÌÒÊÓƵing Experiences: Develop the ability to create engaging, experiential learning opportunities through practical, project-based robotics activities

5.Cultivate Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills: Foster students' analytical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving abilities through robotics challenges and collaborative projects

6. Implement Effective Assessment Methods: Design and employ assessment strategies tailored to robotics projects, ensuring accurate evaluation of student performance, and more.

Methodology & assessment
