Our project will enable French, Spanish and Italian students to conceptualise walls as artistic, historical, geographical, political, social, psychological, linguistic, environmental constructions, leading to a profound reflection on their identities as young europeans : - walls have been the recipients of magnificent artefacts and evolved into virtual spaces - physical walls have been historical and political barriers, preventing invasion or mobility and dividing people. - Walls can also be prevailing components in making cities more sustainable - whole neighbourhoods can be transformed by restoring and redecorating walls - invisible, social and psychological walls once removed can brighten the future and open up new horizons.
