Welcome to RobotTheater!

Most of us all know about R.U.R., the sci-fi drama by Karel Čapek, which premiered as a theater play back in 1921 in the Czech Republic, as well as the appearance of the term "robot", which for more than a hundred years represents a machine that performs actions in which it replaces humans. And while there are various types of robots that help people in industry, in the household or serve to give instructions or education, there are few examples from all over the world where robots stand on the theatre boards, and even fewer where they do it in schools. The eTwinning project "Welcome to RobotTheater!" deals with robots in the theatre, which employed various educational robots in schools across Europe in a somewhat unusual, but creative and, above all, very interesting role - as theatre actors, extras or part of the theatre scenery. This project arose from the Erasmus+ KA2 project called "RobotTheater: how can robots become an integral part of theatre plays", which has been implemented since May in cooperation with the Croatian Robotics Association, HROBOS (Croatia) and the Cultural Institute Delavski dom Trbovlje (Slovenia) 2022 to May 2024.
