Újpesti Könyves Kálmán Gimnázium in Budapest, Hungary and Gymnasio Polemiou in Paphos, Cyprus will participate in this Erasmus+ project.
The main topic of the project is related to environmental issues. Participants in both schools are concerned about the environment and climate
change. They believe that it is important to raise awareness to sustainable water and waste management and a two-year project work will
help the involved become more environmentally conscious citizens. The participating teachers from Cyprus are mainly concerned about waste
management as selective collection of waste is not yet solved in their area. They are looking forward to hearing about good practice in
Hungary. The Hungarian school has been working on becoming an Eco School and getting the official label for it. This project is also part of
the efforts made to achieve the goal.
