We, being Fatih Sultan Mehmet Anatolian High School students and teachers, have decided to prepare a project on the topic ‘’ Sexual Inequality in the Community’’, which has been an increasing discussion subject both in our country and all around the world. It has been an important problem of our age that gendered approach has reflected to our daily language and offensive terms related to women have been naturalized and finally those who are continuously exposed to these terms take it for granted. This normalisation sets the women as second class citizens. And because of this situation, violence against women has occured not only among those over eighteen but also the ones younger than eighteen and at every level of education. In our studies, starting from a proverb saying “you cannot teach an old dog new tricks’’, we have intended to make the young people gain an awareness against those expressions insulting women and causing them to be second class citizens .
