The idea about the Project stem from the fact that seas and oceans are drivers for the European economy and have great potential for innovation and growth. But this potential, called “Blue Growth “ strategy by EC, has not been understood enough in public .Due to abolish the lacking of not having understood of “Blue Growth” strategy of EC so far , we, as two Mediterranean harbour cities from Greece and Turkey would like to extend the idea into our schools and to raise awareness about it among students and staffs there. Also, after joining some more partners we would like to realise some activities in the subtitles of “Blue Growth “ strategy such as Fishing and Aquaculture, Coastal Tourism, Underwater Mining, Blue Jobs, Marine Energy, Blue Biotechnology and by doing so to help them improve the specific skills as below. Active participation Debating skills Formulating opinions with recently acquired knowledge Evaluating information Team work Strengthening independent research Producing creative content that can be shared with others and disseminated online Presentation skills for speaking in public Offer students direct access to industries that are locally important Foster dialogue and encourage joint collaboration Developing ICT skills
