Think globally, eat locally: from farm to fork

Main objectives in order to achieve students’ awareness: complicity to simplicity - make it tangible To reconnect with nature and to understand climate change In order to reconnect with nature and to understand climate change, there is a need for our students to become exposed to “outer experience” where they are in direct contact with nature, taking part in the process from growing to harvesting crops. By letting our students work this way, we will let them experience how environmentally friendly cultivation can be carried out. The process from farm to fork, meaning avoiding the use of chemicals, transportation and plastic packaging is applied to reinforce a more sustainable way of thinking and eating to respect food heritage.Teaching students new, innovative agricultural techniques, we hope, will make them become more responsible future producers and consumers. Consequently, we want to make our students aware of how small changes in their daily lives can lead to big actions in the future and limit climate change.
