TechLingua Harmony

In this project, we expect that students should be able to improve language awareness in their mother tongue and can introduce their own languages to other participants by speaking and writing in English. We also aim to reduce prejudices among students towards other foreign languages and increase their intercultural competences throughout the project. They will be able to recognize different languages and develop positive attitudes towards other cultures. Moreover, they will identify the common and different points among languages. Students will work on idioms, tongue twisters, jokes, facts and words in their mother tongue. After that, they will introduce their works by using English to other participants with an online journal. During the project, students will be able to use a variety of Web 2.0 and AI tools so their technological competences will be supported as well. In addition to these, it is aimed to develop students' creative thinking skills, researching and analyzing skills. It will also improve students’ grammar and vocabulary knowledge in English. At the end of the project, a collaborative online journal and website will be released. Every month, teachers will meet and evaluate the month. Also, there will be times when students meet on Zoom and do the activities together. Moreover, we plan to make our students meet for special events every month such as “International Mother Language Day in February 21”, “International Day of Happiness in March 20”, “World Poetry Day, March 21”, “English Language Day in April 23”, “Etwinning Day in May 9”. With students, we plan to make different activities related to the special event.
