From soil to table and back to soil

It is necessary to help achieve the UN’s sustainability goal 12.8: Ensure that by 2030 the world has relevant information about, and an understanding of sustainable development and a way of life that is in harmony with nature. A contribution from our kindergartens in this work, is to teach the children that they can be a part of the future solution to climate and environmental problems. The world and climate is changing, food recourses are quickly dwindling, and we need to become more sustainable and self-sufficient. It is therefore important to teach the next generation the nessesary and basic skills on where food comes from, how to make our own food, reduce food-waste, reuse, compost/reuse of food/soil and in that way best take care of our planet. Children need to develop a heathy attitude sustainability and self sufficiency, and to acquire knowledge on how to establish a sustainable way of life in the future. This is the introduction in our small-scale partnership. We want to use eTwinning as a platform of sharing our results from the project.
