Yooki and the Unity of the Forest is an illustrated story that introduces the founding of the European Union through imagery and metaphors. The story follows Yooki, a firefly who guides his diverse animal friends with his light, symbolizing unity, cooperation, and harmony. Each animal represents different member states of the EU, showcasing how collaboration can overcome challenges and foster peace. This project brings together teacher educators, pre-service teachers, teachers, and primary school students to engage in a collaborative learning experience about EU history through the story of Yooki and the Unity of the Forest. Participants will explore key concepts such as peace, reconciliation, and conflict resolution in an interactive and creative way.
