A Scandinavian exploration of culture and identity - place, space and geography

We wish to engage in a project in which our students will have the chance to meet and exchange thoughts and ideas on the notion of identity and culture in relation to places and public spaces in their cities respectively. By working with places and public spaces – personally or objectively – we hope they will understand culture and identity in a more nuanced way: they are to grasp the muti-facedness of identity and culture by working critically with perspective awareness and tolerance and thereby hopefully avoid cultural fundamentalism.
