New day – new story! Can you believe it?

The European eTwinning project „New day– new story! Can you believe it?“ is relevant for developing student‘s cognitive abilities, social skills, and introducing them to the diversity of the world. In 2025, Astrid Lindgren’s book Pippi Longstocking will celebrate its 80th anniversary, making it a perfect opportunity for children to become familiar with classic literary characters that inspire creativity, courage, and independence. The characteristics of Pippi Longstocking, such as independence, love for animals, creativity in sustainability, a strong sense of justice, the ability to defend the weak, and intolerance of bullying, align well with the goals of modern education programs that promote social awareness, empathy, and responsibility among students. Pippi, the main character of this book, will invite children to view the world with curiosity, responsibility, and an understanding of sustainability, inspiring them to learn through creative and playful challenges and discoveries. By integrating themes related to Autism Awareness Month and Europe Day, the project will contribute to students’ understanding of diversity, tolerance, and unity. The project „New day – new story! Can you believe it?“ is designed to develop the competencies of preschool and pre-primary age children with varying abilities through diverse activities.
