The project “Mathematics connects” brings together 5th grade pupils from Hungary and 6th grade pupils from Croatia who learn German as a second foreign language. Through two themes — mathematics in architecture and mathematics in everyday life — students explore shapes, measurements, prices, distances and simple statistics. Activities are adapted to their age (11–12) and combined with basic German communication (A1), teamwork and simple digital tools (Slides, Sheets, Canva). The project encourages intercultural exchange, practical use of mathematics, and developing communication and digital skills in an engaging way.
