LITTLE WATER GUARDIANS

The project "LITTLE WATER GUARDIANS" is an interdisciplinary and collaborative program aimed at preschool children (ages 4–6), with the goal of cultivating environmental awareness through the exploration and protection of the natural resource of water. Through experiential, creative, and cooperative activities, the young students become “Water Guardians,” taking an active role in exploring, understanding, and promoting good practices related to the proper use, importance, and protection of water. The project harnesses children’s natural curiosity and creativity to approach scientific, social, and cultural issues through collaboration with schools from other countries. The activities are based on cooperative learning, emphasizing active participation and interaction among the school units. Throughout the project, students will engage in joint work plans, collaboratively create products, and communicate online with their partners, sharing experiences and ideas. The project explores the theme of water through various perspectives: the water cycle, its uses in daily life, the importance of conservation, and its presence in the environment and culture. At the same time, values such as respect for nature, collaboration, responsibility, and active citizenship are cultivated. The project is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and Goal 13 (Climate Action), fostering a sense of responsibility from a very early age.
