The main themes of our project will be "work and mobility". We intend to develop this priority thematic area into sub-themes which will reflect the kind of challenges our pupils will have to deal with in a multi-lingual environment, later in their professional lives. a) Firstly, we will consider the different cultural approaches to work across the countries involved in the project and we will design activities to address questions such as: - What is a good job? - What are the prevailing sources of employment in your region? b) Secondly, we will contemplate work from a historical perspective and its evolution in time. This will also give us the opportunity to think about promising sectors for the future in terms of jobs. c) Our third area of activities will aim at investigating the changing nature of work: - Where and why do new jobs emerge? - The modernization of jobs and its consequences on the employment structure. - Why do jobs leave a country/region? - The issue of brain drain.
