Hands that speak

“Hands that speak” is a symbolical title, because general aim of this project proposal is SOCIAL INCLUSION of the youngster with hearing problems. Main activities will be sign language course, basic (first) level for youngsters from age 15 until 20 years old. Deaf students will lead the sign language course, they will be peers educators and cooperative learning and learning by doing will be cherished. Both groups of students will learn more about the necessity of “equal opportunities for all”, helping each other and mutual understanding. In accordance with the clearly defined aims we believe that the only risk we might face during the project is that some of the participants may quit. While some of them might not fit in the new environment, others might have problems being part of the inclusion, migration is another issue we must mention and etc. In order to avoid these potential risks the teachers will have to organize workshops, make the classes more interactive, adapt the content, talk with the students and provide feedback while observing the students behavior and their achievements during the whole time.
