GREEN THRIVE Project: Schools Growing Eco-Consciousness

This project fosters the creation of a sustainable eco-school by empowering students to become proactive agents of change and catalysts for environmental stewardship. Through audit research and reports, students tackle sustainability challenges in water, energy, paper, waste management, and greenery, while visits to Nuclear Energy Plants, Drinking Water Reservoirs, Botanical Parks, Recycling Points, and Printing Houses offer real-world insights into sustainable practices. Ƶers enhance digital literacy by creating an inspiring audiobook and collaborate on a fully digitalized coursebook for high school English teachers, featuring QR codes and games. They also develop a gamified eco-app that encourages sustainable actions through badges, points, and school rankings, turning eco-awareness into friendly competition. Alongside it, they create a digital calendar with daily eco-challenges, encouraging users to take action and support local causes like food banks, shelters, or clean-up events. The project culminates in a 'Green Day' event, and its impact is extended through emails to nearby schools, sharing resources and inspiring further eco-actions.
