Green Around My School is a 10 months long project created during Erasmus+ structured course of teachers in Iceland. This project aim to develop environmental awareness among students, to raise awareness of the biodiversity of one's locality and get to know the flora and fauna of their locality. During the project students will compare the flora and fauna of European countries (Latvia, Germany, Greece, and Croatia) with the flora and fauna of their own locality. Activities in this project will help to the students to develop permanent habits that will improve the quality of life, interest and care for natural heritage and encourage an active research relationship with nature.
